Listeriosis-your gonna get a disease from my mouthwash.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/10/21/national/main6978442.shtml

This is a news article about a food poisoning that happened in Texas.
Its called listeriosis or something like that.
I found it by looking at what people were looking up on Yahoo.com, I guess its called 'What's trending'.
I you go to the yahoo home page its the box in the top right hand corner, usually you'll see celebrities names up there but once in a while I will see something that catches my eye.
When I first saw the word listeriosis I immediately thought about the mouth wash that I use, "Did someone get a disease from my mouthwash?".
It turned out to have nothing to do with Listerine as far as I can tell.
Anyways, this food processing plant in San Antonio, Texas distributed celery that had listeriosis.
Great, its not like parents did not already have a hard enough time trying to get their kids to eat fruits and vegetables.
"Robbie, where do you think your going?  You still haven't eaten your veggies."
"But Mommmm, the news man said that there were killer vegetables on the loose!"
"Oh, my gosh.  Quick hurry up and lock the front door and then take your sister to the basement, hurry!"
"I'll lock the back door, Charles honey put out your cigar there's killer veggies on the loose!"
"Holly Shit!!!  Where's my shot gun!"
Some people have already died and it sounds like the people that were hurt by these killer veggies already had serious health problems.
This is a Wikipedia article describing Listeriosis:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listeriosis
When ever I see or hear the word Wikipedia I think wiki-wiki, you know the sound some does when they are mimicking the sounds that a dj would make...If you get my funny haha then great, but if not then well I don't know what to say.
In other news I watched the last half of the Rangers/Yankees baseball game, it was exciting a little.
The Yankees lost if you haven't heard yet.
I think that is it for tonight.
Good night, have a nice weekend.

I just signed up the adsense program

The title states that I just signed up for the adsense program that blogger offers.
I need to make more money so that I can put the five thousand dollars (USD) each year into my Roth IrA account that I started a couple of months ago.
I also want to purchase a house, but I do not see that happening any time soon.
I really don't expect to make any money but since I want to write a novel this seems like a better option than filling out applications for mcdonald's.
I think I purchased Mcdonald's stock a few weeks ago.
I have a bank account through Bank of America which purchased Merrill Lynch sometime in the past year.
Bank of America used to be just a bank, you know checking and savings, mortgages.
Now Bank of America is an investment bank as well because it purchased Merrill Lynch.
I signed up for a Roth IRA account with Merrill Lynch.
I was going to research the different investment websites to get an idea as to which one is the best but since the Merrill Lynch logo was on the Bank of America website I just decided to open an account with them.
As for me wanting to be a novelist, I haven't really worked on any fiction in a year or two.
I want to make money with this adsense program so I don't have to try go out there and get a job because the economy sucks, its getting better, but its still sucks.
I know that the economy is improving because the prices of stocks for the most part are going up.
I plan on spending at least an hour each night working on my blog, which you are reading right now.
I am going to go back over all of my post on Presto Manifesto to try and make everything better, and I might even go back over all of my post on my movie review blog.
Since I am going to try and go back over everything with a fine tooth comb I probably will not put a new post up every night.
I am going to aim for one new post on here and one new one on my movie review blog every week.
Good night everyone.

My favorite Cereal Killer.

What was sleep, after all, but the process by which we dumped our insanity into a dark subconscious pit and came out on the other side ready to eat cereal instead of the neighbor’s children?
The above was a quote from the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter.
Darkly Dreaming Dexter was the first book in the series and it was the basis for the television show on the cable channel Showtime.
There are four books in the series but the first season of the tv show is the only one that is based on the book, the rest of the seasons are not based on the books.
Right now I am on the third book in the series of Dexter novels, and currently there are only four books.
I actually really like this series of novels, and I just got a haircut yesterday.
Anyways, getting back to the quote at the top.
I thought I could make some witty comments on this but I guess not.
I think I first posted this in Febuary and now I think I have something to say about this quote other than the fact that I got my haircut on at least two occasions since I first posted this.
Today its October 19, I don't know if today's date would be noted after I update this post.
Anyways, getting back to the quote.
"What was sleep, after all, but the process by which we dumped our insanity into a dark subconscious pit and came out on the other side ready to eat cereal instead of the neighbor’s children?"
When you go to bed you put all the bad stuff that happened to you during the day aside and you wake up refreshed and ready to start a new day.
The tv show Dexter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dexter_(TV_series) is about Dexter who is a bloodstain pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, who moonlights as a serial killer.
Dexter follows a code his adoptive father gave him so that he only kills the people that deserve it and so he doesn't get caught.
For Dexter that dark subconscious pit would be extremely deep.
I really like the tv show Dexter but I don't have cable so I don't really get to watch it on tv, but you can watch the first two or three seasons of it on the netflix website.
But you would have to subscribe to the website, if you haven't already.
The guy that plays Dexter has undergone treatment for cancer, but I am not sure how far along that is.
He was on the Ellen tv show a month or two ago, but I was unable to watch the show because I had to do something else besides watch tv while I was at work.

I actually kind of like purple grape juice.

Right now I’m sitting at my kitchen table writing this journal entry.
I know I have not written recently and I do regret it, but I was busy and so forth.
I think it has been more than just a little while since I have written a journal so happy new year and merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah.
I have no clue how that is supposed to be spelled.
Editor: You only receive benefits from spell check if you use spell check.
You do not receive any benefits by just having spell check on your word processor or blog.
Anyways, not much has changed here, how are things with you?
Well since the computer isn’t going to carry on a conversation with me to tell me how his Christmas was I guess I’ll just blabber on about me.
I still weigh about 170 pounds (not the currency, the weight) but for the most part I feel a little better because I’m kind of working out on a more normal basis and I think my diet is a little better because I am taking several different vitamins.
I am taking a multi vitamin, a calcium supplement, fish oil, and CoQ10.
They are all in pill form.
I basically starting taking them because of an article I read in the magazine Men’s Journal.
I don’t remember if the article I read recommend taking the multi vitamin but it seemed like a no-brainer to take it because it would give me a wide range of vitamins and other minerals that I probably don’t normally consume on a day to day basis, but the article did recommend the other vitamins that I am currently taking.
As I have probably mentioned before I am lactose intolerant so it made a lot of sense to take calcium but I always kind of thought that only women should take calcium supplements since it seems that mostly women get bone density tests (or at least it seems like only women get bone density test), and the density of your bones has a lot to do with the amount of calcium in your bones.
I guess I just kind of had it in my head that only women should be taking calcium supplements so it didn’t occur to me that it would be easier for me to take a calcium pill after I ate a meal instead of trying to drink milk.
For a awhile now I knew that I had to some how increase my intake of calcium because my teeth were week and my nails kept chipping easily.
If I tried drinking milk I would have to take a lactose pill so the milk wouldn’t make me sick.
Even after taking two lactose pills I would still get a little nauseated and bloated after drinking the milk sometimes, other times I was afraid to drink the milk because I knew how sick it could make me.
And you can drink orange juice fortified with calcium and vitamin D, vitamin d helps you absorb the calcium, but the orange juice is really acidic so sometimes it can be difficult to drink and digest.
The calcium pills that I take have the vitamin d in it as well.
The calcium pills are just so much easier and less stress for me to take than milk.
Editor: Several weeks ago, it is now early February, Dr. Oz from the television show recommended that you consume a food with the vitamin K2 or K3 (I forget which one) when you take calcium because the k2 helps your body absorb calcium even better than just calcium and vitamin D. On the show Dr Oz stated that no makes a K2 or K3 supplement so you have to eat the food and of course he mentioned a couple of different foods with k2 in it but i think they were milk products. Sometime after watching that tv show while I was work I looked up k2 on the internet and I also noticed that the multivitamin that I take has vitamin K in it. Different websites came up with the results for the vitamin k2 and various pills for the vitamins K, K2, and K3. And I found vitamin K2 or maybe it was K3 in a couple of different calcium supplements at meijers, so I know that this k2 is common...So then why did Dr. Oz say that K2 is not available in supplement form? Anyways, once I use up my current bottle of calcium pills I will try the one with K2 or K3.
That article that I read said that calcium was important not only because it helps strengthen your bones but it also helps the nerves inside your muscles send and receive signals as well.
I think the article also mentioned that your body can only absorb 600 mg of calcium at one time or maybe I picked that up by the research that I did on my own.
Editor: I know that there are calcium supplements at the stores that have more than 600 mg of calcium in it and the research that I did on my own indicates that the body can only absorb 600 mg of calcium at one time so what is going on here.
I think that is it for tonight.
