A week or two ago the Microsoft word that came with my new laptop stopped working so I had to go out and buy a new one or buy and download it from the internet.
Editor's note: The spellchecker on this Blogger program wants me to capitalize internet, also cedar point should probably be capitalized as well since its a place.
Seeing as how my internet connection hasn’t been that great for the past couple of months I knew that purchasing it from the internet would be difficult.
Oh shit, I just realized that I was supposed to call my dad today to remind him about making reservations to cedar point.
The reason I had to purchase a new Microsoft program was because the trial version that I had on here had expired.
And then on Tuesday or Monday I went up to best buy to purchase it since I found a gift card that I had to best buy, and that was where I purchased this new computer.
And then yesterday I opened up one of the programs on here just to see what it was before I was able to do anything with the program a small pop screen appeared saying that I had to register the product so that I could use all of the features and it gave two options as to how I wanted to register my product.
The first option was to register it over the internet which I knew wouldn’t be an easy task but it was the recommended way of registering according to Microsoft and it gave a second option of registering over the phone which I didn’t want to do.
So I tried registering via the internet a couple of times but that didn’t work so I closed the program and played a game of chess, and then after that I tried again.
This time it worked.
Editor's note: The internet connection at my place can be kind of dogdey, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Editor's note: But actually registering the product didn't take that long, maybe only a minute or two.
From the time that I tried to register it the first time today to the last time when I was successful and the time in between when I played a game of chess it only lasted maybe five minutes.
So the whole process of registering the program that I had already purchased and installed on my computer didn’t really take all that long and I didn’t even have to fill in any information but I was kind of pissed that I actually had to jump through another hoop just so I could use my word processor that I had to go and purchase from the store for the first time.
Yesterday when I opened the new program on my computer for the first time and it prompted me to register my product I didn’t really think anything about it.
Anyways I think I’m going to finish my orange juice now and then I’m going to get ready for bed.
